I like to watch TV with my homestay mother. We like News and Survivor. We discuss TV stories, stars and so on. If I don't understand something , she explains it. Nowadays homestay mother, homestay sister and I are absorbed in the Bachelor TV show. There is 25 ladies and a bachelor on Bachelor TV show. The bachelor's name is Jake and he met 25 ladies who have different jobs, different hometowns, different personalities and diffrent characteristics. Sometimes they dispute and fight. He dates the ladies and he will pick only one lady. I saw Bachelor with my homestay sister and my homestay mother yesterday. Gia went back home and Vienna and Tanley are left. My homestay mother thought Gia is swimsuit model so he doesn't like her because he is pilot so he needs a lady who has good job. Next week will be the final show so he will pick only one lady. Who will win? My homestay sister, mother and I hate Vienna. My homestay mother and sister like Ali but she went back home because of her job. I like Tanley who is sweety and beautiful. I hope Tanley will win. I'm looking forward to next Bachelor.
Whenever I go to other countries, I feel that each country has it's own culture. When I came here to study English in December , I experienced diffrent cultures. I am staying with my homestay family in a Canadian house. When I came to my homestay house on the first day , my homestay mother and a puppy welcomed me to my homestay house. So my homestay house life started. The most confusing was the door of bathroom. In Korea, When I finish bathing and other things, when I leave the bathroom I have to close the door. So If other people want to go bathroom, they have to knock on the door and If they can't hear anything and than they can go inside the bathroom. But in Canada, When I leave the bathroom, I have to open the door. So Canadians know that an open door means it's empty and a lock door means it's full. This is the reverse. So I was confused by that. Sometimes, I am still confused by that.
Vancouver 2010 Olympics will start February 12 to 28 in Vancuver. Korean players and Korea people expect to get medals in short track speed skating, in figure skating, and speed skating.
USA AP anticipated that Korea will get ranking of 8 in Vancuver 2010 Olympic.
Specifically, Koren people are concerned about Kim yun a. She is called figure's Queen and ranked 1 in figure skating in the world.
Korea has been famous for short track players for a long time
I am here in Canada. So I am looking forward to the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. I am expecting that Kim yun a will get a gold medal in figure skating.
I am waiting impatiently for the days to come.
Nowdays, I study English via Super Mario Bros which is Wii game.
My homestay mother bought a Super Mario Bros game for the family on Christams day. The next day my homestay sister and her boyfreind played the game all night and finished the game. And then homestay the family often played the game. I did too. I like it beacuse when I was a child, I had an old Super Mario game and I loved and played everyday. My homestay mother loved it too. So my homestay mother and I have played the game for an hour every night since Christmas day. It is diffrent from an old Super Mario. It added the abilities to spin by shaking the Wii Remote, and being able to pick up, carry, and throw other players. It was changed more exciting and more interesting. 1 month ago, I didn't speak Enghlish. But I strted to speak Enghlish after I played it with my homestay mother. I needed to speak Enghlish to play it and to win it. If we failed it, We replayed it. So I could repeat to speak English. And We made a bond of sympathy and we can tell about a lot of thing. If we have a problem, that is we are addicted to it. We almost finished to win it. If we win it, what are we doing? when I go back home, homestay mother will ask me " Do you want to play it?" I will say "Yes!!!!"
We finished UNESCO camp. We said good-bye. We were sad. Some friends went back to their countries, and some friends went travelling. My friend and I decided to travel in Turkey.
We rode a bus for 10 hours and went to Cappadocia. The name was traditionally used in Christian sources throughout history and is still widely used as an international tourism concept to define a region of exceptional natural wonders. Also, there is an unique historical and cultural heritage in Cappadocia. We were surprised at the scenery. Rocks looked like mushrooms or aliens' houses. It was a very wonderful and sacred place. It was a background for a Star Wars movie. We toured Cappadocia for 3 days.
We went to Olympose and Fethiye which are near the Mediterranean Sea and very popular vacation spots. There are a lot of Europeans. We reserved a room at ther resort and we took a rest. We went swimning in the Mediterranean Sea which is very nice and clean. The color of the beach was emerald and it has white sand. It is so beautiful.
--------------------------------
One day I rode a paraglider with a driver in Fethiye. I jumped from a mountain down to the ground. At first, I was scared, but when I flew through the air, I felt like a bird. It's amazing. Hoouses and people looked like toys. While I was flying, I took a picture that is of my feet against backdrop of the sky. Now, when I look the picture, I have the feeling again of being there again. Another day I boarded a big boat that has slide and I went to the islands. I jumped from the boat in to the water and I rode a slide and fell in to the water. It was an enjoyable experience. so we stayed for 5 days in the Olympose and Fethiye.
We went to Selchnk in Turkey. There was Ephesus. We looked at relics which were awesome sights. And I went to Sirince town which is a famous town for wine in Selchuk . I loved it. I bought wine and handcrafted dolls. And then I went to Pamukkale which is mountain made of lime. There was a white paradise and it looked like mountain coverd with snow. My schedule was diffrent from my friend's. So we said good-bye. And then I started to travel by myself. I was scared because I have always been together with friends and family until now since I was born. So it was a nice chance. I thought if I finished travelling by myself very well, I can do everything. I boarded a bus and went to Istanbul by myself. I saw Ayasofya, Sultan Ahmed Mosque and others by myself. Sometimes, I made friends and than we traveled together. These were new experiences and I learned a lot of thing. For example, I learned how to go unfamilier places, how to see maps and how to deal with emergency. I got a lot of something through this travelling experience and UNESO volunteer camp. Finally, I think I become adult through these experiences.
